Report taken from by Richard Gadsby

Bath City were left sweating on the fitness of influential duo Gethin Jones and Jon Holloway less than three weeks before the start of the British Gas Business League season after both limped out of City's 5-3 friendly win at Hallen. Jones lasted only five minutes of a bruising encounter before he was forced to withdraw following a late tackle, while Holloway was unable to continue after another clash in the closing stages. City took the lead early on when Craig Davidge - playing wide right in a five man midfield - fired home after ten minutes. Toolstation Premier division side, Hallen hit back shortly after the break, however, before Phil Walsh restored City's advantage mid-way through the second half. The hosts equalised again, but parity was short-lived as prolific trialist Justin Pritchard got City's fourth. Hallen then levelled for a third time before a magnificent run and chip from Lewis Hogg and a late effort from Jimmy Rollo gave the visitors victory. Paul Evans missed the match because of illness and was replaced by Clevedon stopper Richard Fey.
